Artempo recently discover Aryz, a Spanish artist born in California in 1988. He settled very young with his parents in Catalonia and lives today in Cardedeu near Barcelona.
He belongs to a family of artists and grew up in Spain where so many industrial spaces were decertified.
These spaces were for him a place of privileged expression, in which graffiti is very present and a source of inspiration.
Aryz then followed an academic course of plastic arts, he becomes painter illustrator and he’s particularly fond of the graffiti, illustration, and studio work.
Through his gigantic format, he becomes very young one of the most renowned Spanish artists in the world. His wall productions can be found in Poland, in the US, in Japan, China or still Germany. Undertaking his status as painter artist, Aryz considers streets as a medium of expression.
Following this proliferation of mural artwork, the artist edges slightly further towards studio work. He tends to series production, experimenting with his own graphic style. Indeed , with warm colours, pastel shades dealing with social thematic, Aryz marvellously expresses.
His style is unique, mature and very contemporary.
You can find some of his artwork in an exceptionnal exhibition called « Pugna » ( « Struggle » in Latin language) in Paris from November 8th to 21st.
Aryz choosed Nicolas Couturieux as curator.
