The “Festival Regards Noirs,” is an event dedicated to the thriller run by the town hall of Niort, celebrated its 3rd edition this Saturday, February 15.

Initiated in 2010, the festival experienced a rising power in 2015 by the desire to integrate in the municipal cultural policy, a promotion of books, reading and contemporary writing.
The event is growing: the duration of the event is lengthened, the number of present’s authors increases and the Festival even extends to other municipalities with the support of “Niort Agglo“.

Clémentine Thiébault, Frédéric Prilleux, Hervé Delouche and Julien Vedrenne, 4 enthusiasts that black literature brings together are at the head of this event bringing together many authors and illustrators; among which we can mention Rosa Montero, authors of numerous novels, essays and biographies, Ian Manook, journalist, editor and writer.

A real moment of sharing, discoveries and meetings, the public can even exchange with the authors.

Beyond novels, comics and cinema, the Festival ventures into various artistic fields, such as the plastic arts, music and theater.
We are delighted to have been able to collaborate with the Town Hall of Niort for the realization of the trophy for the Prix Clouzot 2020 and we would like to congratulate Gaël Henry for his work Tropique de la Violence published by Éditions Sarbacane.
