3D printing
There are a multitude of ways to create an object with a 3D printing. A 3D file of the object to be printed is produced on a CAD software. The modeled object is then automatically transformed for a multitude of “layers”. This new file is read by the printer, and the printhead deposits for each of these “layers” a filament of material (often a thermoplastic). This process gives a particular surface appearance to 3D printed objects. The great advantage of such a method is the ability to produce complex parts, without having to create a mold.
